What verb do we use for soup?
I posted this question in one of the active threads here but it went unnoticed.
What verb do we use for the noun soup, eat or drink? I know "have" is OK. But let's don't consider that an option in the meantime.
A: Hey, what are you (eating/drinking)?
B: I'm (drinking/eating) soup.
Many Asians actually consume their soup without using a spoon. It's as if they're drinking it from the bowl.

"Eat" is correct in the US, even if it's only a cup - But I drink mine.

I think it depends on whether it is in a bowl (eat) or a cup (drink).
