What type of phrase is ...

He tries to make the right choice

Could you please tell me what kind of phrase is the underlined part ? I feel like this could be a verb phrase with an adjective at the end but I'm not too sure

Top answer

The underlined words do not constitute a phrase. "the right choice" is a noun phrase, the object of the verb "make". "right" is an adjective modifying "choice".
