0I don't know why you would need to avoid answering a question over the phone. Whether over the phone or in person, you can always say, "Sorry, I don't know the answer to that question", or just, "I don't know". I don't see what harm is done by being honest. 05002br

0What Lil Ruby Rose said sound good to me, but your supervisor should be training you to handle these things. If they have put you on the telephones without knowing how to handle customer inquiries, they have not given you the training you need. You just have to apologize for not knowing the answer right away, and ask for their patience while you researh the situation. Just like LRR said, above.
