What to do/ how to get there

I do not know what to do.
Tell me how to get there.

I know how to use 'to infinitives' for three ways and I think that to do and to get there in those sentences function as an adjective which modifies what and how each behind. What do you native English speakers think? Thank you so much as usual in advance!

These are infinitival interrogatives. As in their finite counterparts, the interrogative element is direct object in 1., adjunct in 2.
