Hi guys,

Which one of the sentences below is correct ?

thanks~

---------

1. What time would be good for you?

2. What time would it be good for you?

Hi pb, My American instinct is always to do away with what seem to be unnecessary words so I vote for the first sentence, without the 'it'. I suppose you could say: What time would it be good for you to join me for lunch? But, i still think it would sound better to say: What time would be good for you to have luinch with me?

  • When i am not sure about a sentence, i just try it without the questionable word or phrase and if it is perfectly clear then i leave it out.
