A friend of mine asked me to translate this question. I am not able to do so, maybe it´s because I do not understand my own translation then... It doesn´t make sense to me then. Maybe I misinterpret some of the notions involved.
Here is the question: The units digit of 2^33 is how much less than the hundredths digit of 0.567?
It is part of a chinese math tutorium Maybe a chinese member can translate this one adequately .......

Ok, but what does "the units digit of ... " and "the hundreths digit of...." mean... Must be some mathematical operation that I do not understand.... That´s why I do not know how to deal with that question.... Is digit maybe an operation?
Ummm... For example, 125 has three digits: 1, 2, and 5. 2^33 is 2 to the thirty-third, that is 8,589,934,592. So the units digit should be the last one, 2. Now, 0.567 is 5 tenths, 6 hundredths, 7 thousandths. The hundredths digit is 6, then. So, 2 is less than 6, how much less? Two is less than six by four units (6-2=4).
HUGE PS: I don't know if the English used by me or
Thx a lot for explaining.... Some difficulties remain because you use the notions units and digits, but I think it is much clearer now.... If something still is unclear to me, I will aks again
