According to this question, 'Is Grant a worse builder than Flash?'
Both answers are correct, then what the difference is between them.
a) No, he is a better builder.
b) No, he isn't. He is a better builder.

I don't see any difference in meaning or intent. What bothers me is the ending, which I think would be more natural this way: a) No , he's better. b) No, he isn't.
