Hi, does anyone knows what tense should i use.. For example, He went out already or He have already gone out.. What tense should i use when i need to tell someone is not here at the moment? Past tense or present prefect?
Top answer
He went out already. He has already gone out. Both are OK.
— Mister Micawber
He went out already.
He has already gone out.
Both are OK.
British English does not like to use already with past tense, but American English often does.
