what tense should I take in this situation?

if it is always true, but I heard it before, then,
which one is correct? 'I heard that the Sun rise up in the morning'
or ' I heard that the Sun rose up in the moring'

Top answer

I heard that the sun rises in the morning. This seems to be a very odd thing to say. By the time they are capable of putting a coherent sentence together, most people don't need to be told that the sun rises in the morning.
