What tense is that and what rule?

"I'll remember that when I'm buying you Christmas present"

i know this is correct and has a different meaning, but it supposed to be that when I'll buy (or buy?) you a chirstams present, I will remember that...

The clause when I am buying, or when I buy is stating a condition which can be tested for truth or falsehood. It is not stating a future action. The present tense is correct.

I will remember that when this condition is true - "I am buying you a Christmas present."
