Are you by any chance watching Northern Exposure? That's one of my favorite shows.

(By the way -- only the more modern/liberal branches of Judaism, primarily Reform, call their places of worship temples. Otherwise they would be called synagogues. Of course, in your quote the questioner would probably not know this.)
