What sounds not native?
Dear all,
I have done a sample translation for an agency but they said, it does not fulfill their requirements. Please would you instruct me, what exactly sounds strange here, I would appreciate you opinion very much.
"CS and the Contracting Partner are entitled to work results provided by the Contracting Partner in fulfillment of tasks assigned to him, the exploitation right (incl. source code) for it exclusively remains with the Contracting Partner.
Documentations required for utilization of work results in written and printed legible form, which the Contracting Partner will prepare in fulfillment of this contract, shall be handed out to the CS during the delivery.
Should work results (including drafts, know how, ideas, concepts etc.) be protectable or protected as intellectual property rights, the Contracting Partner shall possess these rights from the beginning or CS shall transfer to him all such rights to the full extent.
The Contracting Partner is entitled to use or let use the work results for any known type of use or one which may be necessary in the future. This also includes the right for the first and further publication. Resulting protection rights are the property of the Contracting Partner."

Hi Natalia: Most legalese sounds strange even to native speakers. Legal language is written to protect the party against suits, so must be written with the governing law and terminology in mind. It seem to me that this is contract law, regarding the rights of use for the products that are created as a result of a contractor and a contracting party.
