What should we put after "as if"?

Hello.

What could be correct? "I feel as if I was/am insane" or I feel as if I have/had not gotten a good night's sleep" Both versions are in google. Thanks.

I have also come to the conclusion that all your versions are used by native speakers. I would be caful with as if I was in serious writing, though. As if I were is better in formal style.

Thank you! But I still have doubts about that. Maybe I raised my question a bit incorrectly. I want to ask in which case we could use I feel as if I were/had and I feel as if I am/have.
