What she thinks/is thinking (about)

Hello,

Can you advise which verb form I should use in this sentence?

"She is very secretive. You never know what she is thinking (about)/thinks."

Thank you!

I'd write You never know what she's thinking . (no 'about') If you use 'thinks' it sounds more like you never know her opinion, which doesn't go as well with the idea of being secretive. CJ
