What sentence is correct?

I have two sentences like:

1. Do you know what his name is?

2. Do you know what is his name?

Which one is correct or are both correct? And what are the differences?

Jukerlaw1. Do you know what his name is?

This is grammatical.

Jukerlaw2. Do you know what is his name?

This is incorrect because there is only one inverse pattern in an interrogative sentence.

Here, verb know is in the inverse pattern ( do you know..), so verb 'be' is not in the inverse pattern.
