what possible weaknesses could I state about a candidate I am recommending?

I see no weaknesses in him. I have known him for so many years now. He's modest and sometimes lets his work go unnoticed. He can also be stubborn sometimes. COuld some1 please help me rephrase the sentence to make it look nicer? thanks in advance.

btw, I am one of his acquaintances and his former employer.

Is this part of a reference? They ask you to tell them two weaknesses? you clearly want to make him sound good but they expect honesty in a work reference.

  • Weakness1-you could phrase this as 'he does not make his colleagues sufficiently aware of his achievements and may allow others to take credit for his work'.
  • That doesn't sound too bad.
