Is it a conjunction?

And is it possible to use by also?

"I wouldn't stoop so low by reading someone's diary"

I’d say it’s a preposition.

I'd say it's a conjunction introducing the result (in construction so...as...).

But I'm a non-native so I may be mistaken in supposing it.
