what part of speech ?

I've found a note in a book:

this textbook is good, because, in it "there is a short story supplement added which". I would understand if it was "....short story which ....", we could only add like adjectives and nothing more here. So, it's like saying "...short story car plane which...".

How is that correct?

Top answer

The supplement is what was added. The supplement either was a short story, or it talked about short stories. Here, "short story" is used to modify the noun "supplement."
