What or Which? Unit 7.

Hi Teachers,

Could you tell which option is most appropriate according to the given answer please? Are both correct?

a) What clothes did he find upstairs?

b) Which clothes did he find upstairs?

He found a heavy jacket, a woollen shirt, and some trousers upstairs.

Thanks in advance

Hi, Although they're both grammatically correct I'd choose none of them. Instead I can proffer the following one: What kind of clothes did he find upstairs? Let's see what others say.

Hi imantaghavi,

Thank you for your reply.

But the question, 'What clothes did he find upstairs' is from a book.

I didn't like it myself neither. That's why I've asked.
