What or Which

Hi guys, which of these two sentences is better grammatically (no context)?

1. He asked what of school subjects is my favourite.

2. He asked which of school subjects is my favourite.

I suppose that word "school" automatically limits number of subjects available for answer to subjects provided by school and therefore I should use "which". Am I correct or no?
