What + noun

Hi, please look at this sentence and tell me why it would be wrong to put the indefinite article 'a' to express one's incredulous feeling of encountering what I consider to be an instance of hypocrisy or blasphemy -- although on second thoughts, it might not be plausible to turn them into an instance of them. Would you say it is unusual to put an indefiinte article before an uncountable noun after the word "what"?

Before long, people will likely to celebrate Christmas with drunkenness. What hypocrisy (or blasphemy) that we celebrate this day like this.
