What movie shall we go and see this evening?

Which of the following sentences is or are correct?

1) What movie shall we go and see this evening?

2) What movie shall we go see this evening?

3) What movie shall we go to see this evening?

If all three are possible, do they mean the same thing?

If so, which would you use?

Thank you

All are possible and have the same meaning. I would prefer number 1. The second sentence is quite informal and mostly used in American English.

  • I don't remember a grammarian who recommends using the plain/bare infinitive after go .
