What mood is it?

If I am asked to analise the following sentence: "If I had a watch, I could tell you the time." what shall I say? Is it a subjunctive or a conditional or both (if both, how can this be explained? a vb can't have two tenses, both past and present then how can it have two moods, such as subjunctive and conditional?)

thaks in advance

  • It's simply a modal tense (because of could ), which is typical in a main clause associated with an if -clause.
