What kind of structure is this?

Hey guys!

Check this sentence out:

This is my hand talking to you

This = determiner - subject of the sentence

Is = linking verb

My hand = noun phrase, subject complement (predicate nominal)

Talking to you = ??

"Talking to you" is obviously a gerund phrase; however, I can't think of any part of the speech that this gerund belongs to. Can you anyone explain it to me?
