There are compound nouns with the structure of Noun-Noun in single like "information desk" or "train station". However there are also nouns like "sports car" or "telecommunications service". Are there any nouns as such? I can't find any more words other than these two T_T. Please help!
Top answer
They are uncommon, I agree. They seem to appear when the plurality of the noun is strongly conceived. A french fries box A cattle ranch etc
