Hello
Would you help me with grammar, the singular and plural?
I came across the similar sentences below.
1) What kinds of TV programs do you watch most?
2) What kind of music shows do you watch? Pop music, rock music, classical music?
I'm not sure which to choose , " kind" or "kinds" when I make sentence like these.
Why does 1) use "kinds" and 2) use "kind"? Or is either one incorrect?

I do not know about any rule that the two sentences should break. what kinds of means there are programs of different kinds. What kind of means the programs may vary in nature.
