What Is Wrong With This Text

What is wrong with the text in the following picture? When trying to answer this question, think about the grammar and logic.



Here's a picture of the drowning machine, where several people have died.



It looks deceptively calm doesn't it.

1. "Risking certain death" doesn't work because you can only risk your life or another person's life but not death. Of course you can say "risking being drowned/killed etc".

1. "Risking certain death" doesn't work because you can only risk your life or another person's life but not death. Of course you can say "risking being drowned/killed etc".

2. For me, "submerged weir" sounds weird because it seems to imply that the weir has not always been submerged. It's ok to say "submerged village/grave/cave etc because all these were probably not submerged at the

You were close. Certain death means death with no uncertainty. Risking something means that there is uncertainty. So how you can risk certain death? Is it or is it not certain? Will

Risking certain death ... i see no logic there what does that even mean ? nothing
Escape impossible ...well no need to say it.. when you are dead you dont try anymore anything.

"The drowning machine" could be understood as a machine which is going underwater itself.
