I would probably hyphenate "inch-long."

Hi,
Broadly speaking, I'd say 'which' instead of 'who' for fish, animals, birds and other non-human entities.

There are a few excpetions, eg household pets, like cats and dogs. But I've never heard anyone say 'who' for their goldfish.
