What is "when, where, how, etc."? Conjunctions, adverbs, pronouns?

I was wondering if one of you all could help me out. I am trying to figure out what exactly the words "where, when, how, etc." are, and the different ways they can operate.

Conjunction:

”I went to school when it bright outside.”


Relative adverb:

“I know the place where he went.”


Interrogative adverbs:

Direct ”Why did you do that?”
