What is true?

I've written a sentence, but am not sure if the structure of sentence would confuse the readers. Any help/verifying would be greatly appreciated,

"While it is in some way true when Susan Sontag states that............"

I'm trying to connect to what she states and not her act of stating something is in some way true. Does the sentence clearly differentiate that to you? Sincere thanks in advance.

That looks like it could turn into a very long sentence. What about doing things a bit differently. You might start off with this as a separate sentence:

"Susan Sontag states that ......."
Then continue with this:
"While that is in some ways true, ....."

lol Clive, it is a very long sentence. I summerised one of her claims and stated my position against that claim into one succinct sentence........or so I thought. Yes, I'll try to rearrange it. Thank you.

An apology to Yankee whose comment I was responding to in my previous message, I was at school where I posted my reply and didn't pay attention to whom I was replying to. Thank you for you help.

Thanks to Clive's comment for pointing out that it sounded awkard, I think the whole sentence is awkard in that way. I am not 100% confident about what I have to say to argue, and it shows. The eq

Sorry to bother you people again. I have just one simple question. Technically, should a thesis statement be presented/completed in one sentence? Or does it depend on the professor? Thank you.

Hi,
Depends on the professor, I suppose, and on the thesis.
But look at it this way. The point, really, is to present it as clearly and concisely as possible.

I imagine Einstein didn't use just one sentence.

Pssst: Raen, don't forget that "a lot" is two words. If you can remember that, you'll be ahead of about half of the native speakers whose writing I read.

haha........GG. Thanks for that piece of information.

I believe I've heard it numerous times on this forum and always regard it as the absolute mistake to be made only by some obtuse learners. Never, I'm not joking, did I once connect that mistake with myself. Speaking of dellusional.
