What is this chart on "inasmuch as" vs "insofar as" trying to say?



I recently found this chart listing the distinction between the two aforementioned conjunctions; however, I am not really able to make much sense of it. I would gladly appreciate it if anyone could make the distinction between these words.

Meaning: used to explain the way in which what you are saying is true
