what is this?

Hi,

I was looking at the Quiet Time book. Please tell me what this is if it not a subjunctive? A normal sentence?

Joshua had a similar expreience that Moses had when he confronted God in the burning bush. Joshua follow the request of the commander of the Lord's army demanding "Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy".

Strange. Perhaps it's an imperative: Joshua , follow the request of the commander of the Lord's army demanding "Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ! " but you need the comma and the exclamation mark.

  • Otherwise, yes, a subjunctive, but everything doesn't make too well sense.

It's just a misprint. It should have been followed. No subjunctive is present in the passage.
