What is the proper verb for "correcting" an interview test

Question

What teacher does with students exam tests? Corrects them? Evaluate them? Marks them?
To mark a test seems to be used for school test.
But what about interview tests?
There are no marks.
They count perhaps percentage or points.
Or you passed or not.
So one note really "mark" interview tests.
Can anyone help what is the correct verb?

Hi,

Common terms are that the teacher grades / marks / evaluates / corrects the student's work or performance.

What's an interview test? Do you perhaps mean an oral test, in which the teacher talks with just one student?
For that, I'd suggest grade or evaluate.

Correct a test - it may imply a correcting the test itself, not necessary the student answers. Like when teacher misspelled a word in the test a some bright student correct the test.

Evaluate a test - it may imply evaluating the test itself, not the answers, judge the quality of the test.

Like a Java programming test for someone applying for a software developer position.

As an employee and Java specialist I was once or twice handled over several filled tests by my boss and asked to .... them. On earth I cannot recall what word he used. Perhaps it was grade. To grade the test. It was a point based system.

The context will almost always make the intended meaning very clear.

grade or mark would be OK if there was a points-based system.

correct suggests 'tell the person the correct answers'.
evaluate suggests 'make comments about the quality of the knowledge the person has displayed on the test'.
