What is the opposite of this sentence?

How would you express the opposite? Further?

The game was a lot closer than the score reflects.
The game was a lot closer than score indicates.

Which is correct reflect or indicates?

I like "indicates" better. " I might say informally that the game was much more of a blowout than the score indicates. "Further" is no good.

I like "indicates" better. "Reflects" wants something to reflect, like "The score reflects the great difference in skill level between the two teams."

I can't think of a standard opposite other than a straight negation: "The game was not as close as the score indicates." I might say informally that the game was much more of a blowout than the score indicates. "Further" is no good.
