Hi, I'm ESL student now and I hear a lot of expressions like "you know", "right" etc. that have no value in the sentence. For example: I like pizza, you know. It is very tasty, you know.... What is the name of these expressions in English grammar? I found the terms "interjections" and maybe "uptalk" but I cant find a list with interjections in English. In my language if I can translate it directly we call them "parasitic expressions". Is there formal term for these expressions? Thanks

I think some people call them "filler words".
