what is the meaning of this sentence ?

hi every body. I cant translate the sentence "Saudi Arabia's Prince
Waleed bin Talal, the man in question, largely owes his place on the world's rich-lists to that decision " into my language because i dont understand clearly " largely owe" .

it means the reason for his enormous wealth (rich list) has a lot to do with the decision he made. Not everything, but it has a LOT to with the decision.
