What is the meaning of "should"

I found the following sentence on one of Youtube videos. Though, my instinct says that it might be a substitute for "if" according to the context, I'm not precisely sure about it. Therefore, please someone tell me what is the meaning of "should" in the following sentence.

Should you get hurt, almost no one else in the world donated blood would be able to save you

'If' could replace 'Should', but the last part of the sentence is a mess.

She says "no one else in the world's donated blood", making a noun out of "almost no one else in the world" and then making it possessive, not the best wording.
