What is the meaning of "forget yourself in the idea of another"?

What is the meaning of "forget yourself in the idea of another"?

I found this when I was reading this passage:

"Then forget yourself, my husband," said a gentle voice above him - "forget yourself in the idea of another!"

Does it mean that th wife thinks her husband should forget himself, or forget the idea of another, or require the idea of another?

Please help! Thanks.

It is an odd suggestion, but I suppose it means 'stop worrying about yourself or stop being preoccupied with your own concerns by getting very involved with / by thinking about someone else or someone else's project/research/theories'.
