What is the meaning of first push?

Context: Prison rodeo conducted for prisoners. In middle of the game. Warden said to himself after hearing to Announcer words. Actually if prisoners won the game then Warden will get money.

Announcer: Hold on, folks. We got ourselves the first push in the history of the prison rodeo.

Warden: Push, my ass. There ain't gonna be any push.
