Sorry I've never heard the word 'de-stanking' before. I don't think it's a regular English word.

Where exactly did you read this? Or is "de-stanking" a word that you only heard (and maybe misheard)?

The most I could get out of my research is that this is jargon in the Ninja world. It appears to involve taking away or destroying someone's prized possession. It's unclear why this procedure is done or what effect it's supposed to have on the object of the de-stanking.

I'm surprised it's not in Urban "Dictionary" then. There is an entry for "stanking" (warning: contains X-rated content), but it seems unrelated and may just be made-up nonsense for all I know. However, the effort of reading it was not wasted since I did learn the very splendid phrase "twatular area".

Where I live, (SE USA) stank is sometimes used as a colloquial alternative to stink. Destanking would mean deodorizing, removing the foul smell from something. That doesn't fit this context, though, so I would guess that Sica's vanquish (note spelling) is probably correct.

One more small snippet: it says at http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/WesternAnimation/RandyCunninghamNinthGradeNinja that the purpose of "destanking" someone is to "free them from their monster state".
