What is the meaning?

What does "two times bigger than..."exactly mean?Whether it means "three times as big as..." or "two times as big as .."?

IMO, If A is two times bigger than B, then A is bigger than the thing that is twice as big as B, and most likely is smaller than the thing that is thrice as big as B. I'm not sure.

IMO, If A is two times bigger than B, then A is bigger than the thing that is twice as big as B, and most likely is smaller than the thing that is thrice as big as B.

A 2 liter of cup is two times as big as a 1 liter of cup.

A 2 liter of cup is two times bigger than a 1 liter of cup, I guess.

Well, it's twice as big... A 2 liter bottle is twice as big as a 1 liter one... (unless I'm wrong )
