What is the idiomatic way of saying this?

'I never actually solved many of this type of problems.'

I know that this sentence sounds very strange. Not idiomatic at all. Can you tell me what the idiomatic version of this sentence is?

Oh and one more question.......Is 'idiomatical' a word at all?

I can't think of an idiom that exactly captures that situation. The nearest I can get is 'It's all new to me' If you are just looking for a more colloquial way of saying this, try 'I haven't done this before' or 'I don't have much experience with this'.

(1) 'I've never actually solved many of this type of problem.'

(2) 'Idiomatic', not 'idiomatical'-- but 'idiomatically' is OK.
