What is the full expression of 'nearly as stressful' ?

"When your favorite song comes up on the radio,
the day gets a little bit better and suddenly being stuck in the traffic jam isn't nearly as stressful."

Is this
1. (...) being stuck in the traffic isn't nearly as (it is) stressful

or

2. (...) being stuck in the traffic isnt' nearly as stressful (as it is) ?

or neither is correct so there is another explanation.

Thanks!

Neither is good, as I understand them. When your favorite song comes up on the radio, the day gets a little bit better and suddenly being stuck in the traffic jam isn't nearly as stressful ( as it would be without the song)
