What is the figurative meaning of fare?

Hello everybody.

I understood that Anne and I were worlds apart; she’d lived in a terrifying universe where the threat of starvation, imprisonment, and death hovered over her, while I was ensconced in an upscale Long Island suburb where
shopping for cashmere sweaters and cutting Hebrew school were my daily fare.

Does fare have a figurative meaning here?

Thanks so much.
