What is the differnce between "After giving" and "Having Given"

1. After giving a book he went away
2. Having given a book he went away.

I presume that the meaning of above two sentences is same.

This sounds like an instruction from a teacher to a student. We are not your students. Polite requests for help generally either begin or end with the word "please."
