What is the difference, comma & semicolon?

I know a colon mean that is and a like.
But then I've noticed I don't know the exact difference between comma and semicolon.
Can someone help me?

Acbeat I know a colon mean that is and a like. A colon is used in several situations - the way you explain it does not do justice to any one of them, I am afraid. Acbeat But then I've noticed I don't know the exact difference between comma and semicolon.
