What is the difference between..YOU DIDNT SAW THAT...and..YOU DIDNT SEE THAT..and which one is correct...??

i was having a conversation with my friend on phone..and...i spoke..YOU DIDNT SAW THAT...and my cousin who was sitting beside me corrected..me..she said..its..YOU DIDNT SEE THAT..instead..of...YOU DIDNT SAW THAT...guyz..please..help..me..i'm really confused ..which one is correct...!!!

Listen to your cousin.

You saw that. 'Saw' is Past Tense.

You did not see that.

To form the past tense with a negative, you use the past tense of 'do' as an auxiiary verb, ie 'did'.

And you use the base or infinitive form of the main verb, which is 'see'.

It's the same idea when you make a question,
