What is the difference between "work" and "to work"

Hi,

Can somebody help me out about the usage of infinite in the sentences. In which, scenario a sentence demands infinitive. And, explain me what are usags and funtions of infinitive in the sentences.

And, What is the difference between "work" and "to work".

when we have to go for infinitive in the sentences. Please explain me as very general and perfect.
