what is the difference between SAID & TELL me?

Hi

Would you please tell me the difference between this two words SAID and TELL. Which one is more appropriate "She said this to me" or "She tell this to me". please let me know the your views.

" is fine. " As it is, tell doesn't make sense, so you need to use told. I might make more sense if I knew what "this" was, but you should be able to replace it with many phrases.

"She said this to me." is fine.

But if you wanted to use tell, you could say, "She told this to me." As it is, tell doesn't make sense, so you need to use told.

I might make more sense if I knew what "this" was, but you should be able to replace it with many phrases.

Think of "say" as speaking the words. For example, if she used rude language, someone might react in surprise "She actually said that to you??"

Think of "tell" as conveying information. Let's say she told you that her friend has a big crush on you. "I can't believe she told you that! She was supposed to keep that a secret!" If someone is surp
