what is the difference between SAID & TELL me?

HiWould you please tell me the difference between this two words SAID and TELL. Which one is more appropriate  "She said this to me" or "She tell this to me". please let me know the your views.Thanking youYours truly, Himadri Roy

"She said this to me." is fine.

But if you wanted to use tell, you could say, "She told this to me." As it is, tell doesn't make sense, so you need to use told.

I might make more sense if I knew what "this" was, but you should be able to replace it with many phrases.

This difference can be quite subtle.

Think of "say" as speaking the words. For example, if she used rude language, someone might react in surprise "She actually said that to you??"

Think of "tell" as conveying information. Let's say she told you that her friend has a big crush on you. "I can't believe she told you that! She was supposed to keep that a secret!" If someone is surprised that you know something, they are surprised that someone TOLD you.

The distinction is between SAY and TELL (present) or between SAID and TOLD (past).
The choice almost always depends on whether you are going to mention the person who receives the communication.

In the following patterns do not use a word that indicates who is spoken to if you use said.
Always use a word (me, you, us, ...) that indicates who is spoken to if you use told.

[He / She / I / You / ...] said that ...
[He / She / I / You / ...] told [me / you / him, ...] that ...

She said that she was very happy.
She told me that she was very happy.

She said me that ... is not correct.
She told that ... is not correct.

You should master these patterns before moving on to variants. Some variants are shown below.

These are correct. Note the pronouns that indicate what was said / told.
She said [that / something / nothing / very little] to [me / him / them / us/ ...].
She told [me / him / them / us/ ...][that / something / nothing / very little].
She said what she wanted.
She told me what she wanted.

She said what she wanted to me is not a good choice.

She said [the truth / the facts of the case / the rules] is not correct.
She told me [the truth / the facts of the case / the rules] is correct.
She told the truth is also correct even though the person being spoken to is not mentioned. You may think of it as a special case.

Think about these 4 sentences: In you everyday
Life do you say: My mom just tell me that I got a puppy. or My mom just told me that i got a puppy.
Also: Would u say: I cant believe my mom just say that I got a new puppy. or I cant believe my mom just said that I got a new puppy.
I would go with: I cant beleive my mom just said I got a new puppy. and My mom just told me that I got a puppy.
Now if you want to know the difference os tell and said look at this chart:

Told:Past
Say:Present
So if you wanted to use past tence you would say told or said and if you wanted to use present grammer you would say tell or say:
Past sentences:My mom told me that I have a new puppy.

My mom say that I have a new puppy.
Also to answer your question the more appropriate sentence is: She said this to me.

You are replying on a thread that is nearly six years old, and you are simply repeating much of what was already said six years ago. Besides, you are misspelling a lot of words (tence should be tense; sence should be sense; grammer should be grammar), and your examples are sometimes ungrammatical (My mom tell; My mom say), and you place punctuation marks incorrectly. I'm sorry to say that these factors throw into doubt whether you should be attempting to answer the question at all. You may just be confusing the person who asked the question.
