What is the difference between oil/petroleum and benzine/petrol?

Hello!

I'm trying to figure out the difference between the word pairs oil/petroleum and benzine/petrol. At the moment I see absolutely no difference between either of these because they seem to translate nafta and benzinas to my language.

Could anyone clear this up for me please?

Thank you

Oil or petroleum is raw mineral oil (from the earth), whereas petrol is the inflammable liquid produced from petroleum and used as a fuel to drive motor engines, etc. Benzine, on the other hand, is a liquid mixture obtained from petroleum, and used to clean clothing.
